May 12, 2008: New York, New York (Day 3)
There isn’t too much to say about this day! After two days of clear weather, we were bound to have a rainy day, and this was it. Many museums were closed Mondays, but one of our favorites, the American Museum of Natural History, was open. We’ve been there countless times before, but we didn’t mind going again. Evidently, everyone else in New York had the same idea, because it was very crowded! We waited to enter by the lower level subway entrance but they called out that it would be faster to head to the main entrance instead. So a bunch of people did that…I figured, why do that because…

May 11, 2008: New York, New York (Day 2)
On day 2, we went up to Central Park. We went to Turtle Pond and Belvedere Castle (among others). Afterward, we exited to Central Park West, by the Museum of Natural History. We took the C from 81st to Columbus Circle, where we transferred to the D to Coney Island. We ate at Nathan’s, but it was fairly chilly, so we ate quickly! We hopped back onto the D and took it to 20th Ave & 86th Street in Bensonhurst. We were originally going to walk around their Italian neighborhood and have a slice of pizza at Lenny’s, but having just ate at Nathan’s, we weren’t hungry. So next time……

May 10, 2008: New York, New York (Day 1)
This one’s not a road trip – we were making this just a 3-day weekend so Amber and I flew to NYC. We had an early morning flight from Indianapolis, and arrived at the airport around 6. As we were walking to our gate, I caught sight of the sun rising over downtown Indianapolis. After arriving at LaGuardia, we took the M60 bus from LaGuardia to 125th Street / Lexington and connected with the 5 line subway down to the Fulton – Nassau – Broadway station and walked to our hotel, the Thompson Gild Hall.
