    A Day Trip to Savannah: Neon Signs, Pralines, and a Rainy Evening

    Our first weekend, we decided to take a short drive over to Savannah. It’s one of those places that always seems to have something going on, and it didn’t take long before we were reminded why we wanted to visit. Exploring Savannah As soon as we got into town, I spotted something that immediately caught my attention—a classic neon sign for the Thunderbird Inn. If you’ve followed our travels, you know I can’t pass up a good neon sign. This one didn’t disappoint.     Black Tulips & Unexpected Stops in Vevay, Indiana

    I’d never heard of Kat Von D until about a year ago. A few people I know mentioned she had bought an old mansion and moved down here to Vevay from Los Angeles, and that alone was enough to make me curious. So I looked her up. Turns out she’s a pretty big deal in the tattoo world—something like 11 million followers big. We made our way into town this afternoon after leaving the campground, and I decided to swing by the place everyone had been talking about—the black tulip gardens she planted right next to her property.
